About MOTDstripper

MOTDstripper strips the guild and system message of the day from your chat frame, freeing up precious screen real estate and making your chat frame cleaner upon logging in to the game. Messages of the day are only shown if they've changed since your last login.

Usage

At this early stage of development the add-on doesn't have user-configurable options. If MOTDstripper has seen either the current guild message of the day or the current system message of the day (or both), it will strip them from your chat frame. Messages of the day only show up if they've changed since your last login.

Development Progress

The add-on is in its testing phase. At least on my machine it gets the job done. However, while it is unlikely, the add-on may very well melt your computer or show other unwanted behavior. Please do report bugs and suggest improvements at the ticket tracker.

Also, if you can, please review the source code and point out any obvious mistakes I made. For me MOTDstripper is a means of applying what little Lua knowledge I have to a real-world project. I'm fully aware that the source code must have plenty of room for improvement. I'm willing to learn and I'll gladly accept any hints you can provide.

In case of new features please note that I'm not particularly inclined to add unnecessary bloat to the add-on. Features I'm considering are integrating MOTDstripper into the game's add-on options window, pop-up notifications upon changed messages of the day, and being able to review past messages of the day. One thing at a time though, don't hold your breath.

Where to comment, where to file tickets

The add-on is maintained at the MOTDstripper WoWAce home page. You'll find not only stable and beta versions there but also alpha versions. For now please post tickets over there, too, at the ticket tracker. In case the add-on ever needs translation, that'll be over there, too.

Development and behind-the-scenes stuff aside, I prefer wowinterface.com for interacting with players. So please post comments and questions here.

Hello, this is my first attempt to create an addon, any constructive criticism is appreciated. I've been been using this addon for some time just for my own needs, if also others find it useful I'll add more user-friendly settings.

Mountster aims to be an extension of usual in-game mount macros.

With just one button on your action bars Mountster allows you to:

Summon specified mounts for up to 5 designated zones in world (other from Dalaran and Wintergrasp, which have special support) - works for world zones, battlegrounds etc.
Use land mount for areas where you can't fly and summon flying mount wherever flying is allowed.
Summon land mount in Dalaran and flying mount upon entering Krasus' Landing subzone
Summon land mount in Wintergrasp when the battle is in progress and flying mount when it's over.
Dismount everytime you're mounted

Please note that this is an alpha version of the addon and thus there are several limitations:

At the moment there is no per-character support, I'd recommend enabling the addon only for one of your characters in addon config window during character selection, this feature will be added later.

There are no in-game options, everything is set by editing file mountster.lua in the addon folder.

If you acquire new mount and want to use it, you need to edit the file and then the changes will take effect only after relogging, reloading interface doesn't suffice.

Works only with En-US (En-GB) locales.

Setting up:

Step 1: Install the addon and open file mountster.lua in any text editor (like Notepad) and follow the instructions there.

Step 2: After saving the file, log in the game and create macro with text "/mountster" (without the quotes), drag it on your action bars, feel free to keybind it and use instead of your current mount macro.

This is an AddOn with many Broker data displays. All displays feature tooltips and mouse click handlers (well, except for fps and latency). You will need a Broker Display!

If you don't want to see a data feed, configure your broker display to not show them or disable them with /be . ncMinimap is an small lightweight minimap enhancing mod. The great part about it is that it has an moving border. There are 4 little objects which move along the border of the minimap. They go fast when in combat, slow when out of combat.

Usage:
Install as normal, use /ncm or /ncminimap to configure the minimap. Click on the minimap is just normal behaviour, middle mouse click opens the calender, right click is tracking menu.

/ncm subcommand - explanation (default value)
lock - toggles minimap locking, when unlocked you can drag the minimap
scale - scales the minimap (1)
speed - sets the speed for the border when out of combat, set to 0 or negative to hide (20)
combatspeed - sets the speed for the border when in combat, set to 0 or negative to hide (80)
color - red green and blue can be values between 1(lightest) and 0(darkest) (0.6 0.6 0.6)

Tidy Plates: Additional Special Text 3 (v1.0)

This is a simple modification of the Luas of Tidy Plates version 5.4 to add an additional special text.
These files are ment to overwrite the original Lua files so I have included the original files as well.
Please note all locations for --]-- and --]-- for modified Lua lines.

I created this for use with my Tidy Plates: Clean Plates theme for additional target casting text.

Additional texts can be added with the same lines added only changing 3 to 4 etc.

To use this skin:

1. Exit WoW

3. Download and install this skin as you would any other addon and unzip it into the Interface\AddOns directory as well.
4. After downloading and installing both mods, you should have both an Interface\AddOns\nUI directory and an Interface\AddOns\nUI_Warlock directory
5. Run WoW and log in. Before selecting a character to play, click on the "AddOns" button in the lower left corner of the screen and enable the nUI Warlock addon. You can return to using the default nUI dashboard at any time by disabling nUI Warlock.

Description:
After the support for Steelseries WoW Mouse was added directly into WoW I
was quite happy, though about every 3rd time I logged in the mouse was not
found by the game client and I had to go into the Interface options to turn it on.

Well, not any more!

This adds a 'Retry' button on the pop-up, hitting it a few times usually solves the
issue at load.
I also replaced the 'Okay' button with an 'Ignore' button, in case there is
actually any issues with the mouse and you want the pop-up to go away.
